Through Friday, December 24th, I will donate $6 from each blog makeover to Love Without Boundaries Coats and Cribs for Kids. $12 purchases a warm coat for a child to wear this winter, so for every two orders that I receive, that is another child that will have a warm coat this season.

I am also holding a raffle for a basic blog makeover. You may purchase 1 ticket for $6 or 3 tickets for $12. 100% of the funds donated will go to Love Without Boundaries Coats 'N Cribs for Kids. Once you have purchased your ticket, please email me and I will respond with your ticket #.

If you purchase 1 or more tickets and post about this raffle on your blog, I will give you another raffle ticket for free. But you must purchase at least one ticket to take advantage of this offer.

Adding a Blog Button to your Sidebar

How to Add/Edit Sidebar Categories

When on your blog's homepage, click "customize" in the top right corner, or when you first log in, click "layout". Both of these options will take you here, where you can add and edit the elements of your page.

This photo is of this blog, which has a 3 column template. If your blog has a 2 column template, you will see one sidebar, on either the left or right. This layout represents your blog page, so you will the the "follow me" on the top right, followed by "my designs", just as is appears on my page.

Each category has an "edit" button. You can add/edit links in a link list, add site buttons, text, or anything you want by editing a current gadget, or by clicking "add new gadget".

Let's work on a link list. To create a new link list, I will click "add a gadget" at the top of the sidebar and this list will pop up. There are several options. To add a link list, just click "link list".

This window will pop up. You can title the link list (examples would be favorite blogs, shopping, links, etc...). To add a site to the list, enter the blog code next to "new site URL" and the title that you want to appear in the link list next to "new site name". Then click "add link" and the link will be added. Be sure to press save when you are done.

To edit a current link list, click "edit" on the list you want to edit, and follow the steps above.

If you would like to rearrange the order of the categories in your sidebar, simply click on a category, and move it up or down by dragging it where you would like to place it.

I want to thank everyone who ordered a blog makeover for for the Soles for Souls campaign. So far, I have been able to purchase 36 pairs of shoes! I am still waiting on payment from quite a few people, and am looking forward to purchasing even more shoes!

I have decided that through the end of the month, I will continue to give $5 from each blog makeover to Soles for Souls. Next month, my chosen charity will be Love Without Boundaries Coats n' Cribs for Kids.

In honor (and anticipation) of reaching 50,000 hits, I had been wanting to do something special. I emailed my friend Angie to see if she had any ideas. Little did I know that I emailed her just 20 minutes after she posted about a fantastic project, 50,000 shoes in 50 days.

Raffle for New Day's Formula Project

New Day Foster Home began the Formula Project in 2006. They provide formula to infants under one year of age in their four partner orphanages, and visit each month to measure and weigh the children and monitor their progress. Without donations, some orphanages do not have the funds to purchase formula which leads to malnutrition and sometimes death.

Most of the babies have medical special needs, so they already have a difficult time being "healthy" -- nutritious food is even more urgent in cases like those when a baby has a heart problem or another special need.

I would like to make a difference by holding a raffle, and blog makeover giveaway. You may purchase 1 raffle ticket for $5 by using the Chipin in the sidebar, and the winner will receive a basic blog makeover. 100% of the funds donated will go to New Day's Formula Project, so please feel free to purchase several tickets. Once you have made your donation, please email me and I will respond with your raffle ticket number(s). The raffle will close Friday, October 31st.

I recently sent donations to Susan G. Komen, and to New Day Foster Home's "Formula Project Fund". Thank you to everyone who helped make these donations possible!

I was also able to donate a blog makeover to the Starfish Foster Home. If you come across an organization that may need a blog makeover, please contact me. I am always happy to offer my services.

My next donations will go towards Love Without Boundaries "coats n' cribs for kids". $12 purchases a coat for a child for the upcoming winter, and $75 purchases a sturdy crib for a child to sleep in at night.
